Trekking Nepal

Trekking in Nepal offers breathtaking landscapes, diverse cultures, and some of the world's highest peaks. The best seasons for trekking are autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May), with winter and monsoon being less favorable. Most treks require a TIMS card, which can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Popular trekking regions include Everest Region, Annapurna Region, Langtang Region, Manaslu Circuit, Upper Mustang, and Dolpo Region.
Treks vary in difficulty, from easy walks to challenging high-altitude treks. Hiring a local guide and porter can enhance your trekking experience, providing navigation, local insights, and help carry your gear. Acclimatization is crucial in high-altitude areas to prevent altitude sickness. Accommodation and food are common along popular trekking routes, but bring cash as ATM access is limited in remote areas.
Packing essentials includes layers, good-quality trekking boots, a comfortable backpack, warm sleeping bag, trekking permits, a map or GPS, water purification, and a first-aid kit. I started my career in the tourism industry as a helping guide in 1998. Later on, I started as a trekking guide and traveled almost all the trails of Khumbu, Annapurna, Kangchenjunga, Makalu, Langtang, Manaslu, Tsum Valley, Dolpa, and  Upper Mustang. I am well interested in Mountain biking, I started biking in 2005. Nepal has great trails for off-road biking like Kathmandu - Pokhara, Annapurna circuit, Surkhet - Jumla, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Tibet, and Chisapani - Nagarkot.

After traveling Nepal for nearly two decades, I have been familiar with all the trekking and biking routes, mountains, rivers, floras, and faunas. I will be telling you my trip stories from here onwards.

Thank you for reading my blog. Stay in touch.
